Cathy’s Comments: This essential oil was often distilled in Germany from Hungarian raw materials, which may explain the term “German” Chamomile. This batch is from Bulgaria, and has a high chamazulene (a sesquiterpene) content, which is the reason for the deep beautiful blue hue. Properties attributed to both German and Roman chamomile are anti-inflammatory, analgesic, calmative, antispasmodic and generally mentally soothing and relaxing. The blue chamomile is best for any kind of skin issues, especially with inflammation, irritation, dryness, and itchiness.
